Big candlelit vigil tonight in Trafalgar Square.
This was to protest against homophobic hate crime, in particular the murder on 25th September of Ian Baynam by three teenagers, and the life-threatening assault on James Parkes in Liverpool last week, again by a group of teenagers.
10000 were expected – I reckon at least that many, it filled the square to overflowing:
