Monday 8pm. They say it was a wiring fault.
Our poster on the other face, and the Wards building itself, are OK, except that the firefighters broke one of the huge ground-floor windows to get inside so they could check there was nothing smouldering. The leaseholder has taken back the keys for unknown reasons and lives in another county, so using the traditional route into the building – the door – was impossible.
Tuesday: The site is still exposed to thieves and rough sleepers the day after.
