which have appeared from nowhere, and always remind me of my grandparents’ garden.

This is the Cotinus – Smoke Bush – in my front yard. It never stops moving, whenever i look up from this computer it’s waving at me.

Still working on how to get the smoke blossoms, which grow on last year’s wood – I have to keep cutting it back as it grows so fast and pokes people walking past. Maybe next spring I’ll cut it right back to ground level and wait 2 years for flowers.
